Individual Scrapbook or Family Scrapbook

My question to all scrappers: ONE family book or stick to individual books? I have 3 kids to keep up on. I worry that I will run out of space to keep all of the books. Right now I have at least 9 between them. I am about 6-9 months behind for each child. If I cop out on the individual books, I can always make 12x12 copies and create more books in the future!!

I don't think I have ONE album that is complete. They are all constantly works in progress.

I tried to scrapbook an entire year's album end to end for each of my 3 kids (2004), but I didn't finish...and that was just for 2004!

I've scrapped the whole idea of chronological event-based scrap-booking and focusing more on pictures that speak to me and what stories I want to tell with them.

I guess I do have one album completed, and that is my Christmas card album. It's a family album where I make a layout each year with the Christmas card and photo we sent and the story that goes along with the photo and the card. It's so fun flipping through this album as you're able to watch the family grow and change as you turn each page.

The albums I'm working on now are birthday albums for each kid.

When there's pressure to "catch up", it becomes less fun.
